YMCA Swim Pass

The Municipality of Central Elgin is excited partner with the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario to offer Central Elgin residents access to indoor swimming at the Family YMCA St. Thomas-Elgin branch (20 High St, St Thomas, ON N5R 5V) at a reduced resident rate.

This program provides affordable, year-round water safety programs, helps residents build swimming skills, and promotes health and wellness through family-friendly exercise opportunities.

Who can attend the Family YMCA of St. Thomas-Elgin pool?

Any resident of Central Elgin with a city swim pass!Please note the age restrictions below:According to the YMCA swim admission policy, anyone 12 and younger must either:Pass the facility swim test and wear a Y swim wristband OR remain in shallow water and WITHIN ARM’S REACH at all times of a guardian who is 13 or older.The ratio of guardians to swimmers who have not passed the swim test is 1:4 (all wearing PFDs) or 1:2 (not in PFDs).

Can I use the city swim pass at another YMCA of Southwestern Ontariolocation?

No. The St. Thomas YMCA swim pass is only for the Family YMCA of St.Thomas-Elgin pool.
